Treasure Trek Plans Proceed-Deadline Is Near.

If you or an organization or business are planning on participating in the 2008 Treasure Trek, now is the time to be thinking about getting listed in the Vendors´ Guide that will be distributed all over the country.

Treasure Trek has already received orders for the Vendors´ Guides even though the event doesn´t take place until September 5th, 6th, and 7th. This is an indication that the event will be a huge success. The deadline has been extended to July 10th for getting listed in this year’s booklet. This is a great time for garage sales, businesses, community celebrations, and individuals to cater to antique hunters and collectors, don’t miss out.

This deadline will allow the Committee to distribute the Vendor Guides the first week of August allowing shoppers to the area time to plan their visit and make arrangements for accommodations.

The organizers of Treasure Trek are having 22,000 flyers distributed across the United States. Advertising has also been done in the Riverbend Magazine which reaches 322 drops in the Denver-Metro area and I-80 from Eastern Nebraska to Eastern Wyoming. Journey Magazine also has an ad for 2008, this is the tourism magazine for Western Nebraska. Treasure Trek is listed in the Nebraska Tourism Guide as well as other publications outside our area. Don't miss the opportunity to participate. If your church or organization needs a fundraiser, don’t miss out! We can all help ourselves by emailing anyone we know and sending them the website for Treasure Trek. This event is for the betterment of the economy of Western Nebraska and its goal is to bring in new money from areas outside of our western counties’ borders. The Treasure Trek is a non-profit committee working for economic well-being of our area.

Treasure Trek is a not-for-profit project that is intended to increase tourism and economic activity in Western Nebraska. The mission of Treasure Trek is to promote tourism and economic development for the Panhandle Region by coordinating an annual shopping and tourism expedition that will enhance small business ability to reach new markets by bringing tourists to their towns.
